Who we are

Split Receipt is a bill-splitting tool operated by SuccessForge HQ. This policy explains what data we collect when you use https://split-receipt.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent through the contact form on our home page.

What we collect

• Account data (only if you sign in): your email address, display name, and profile picture as provided by Google when you choose "Continue with Google." We also store a stable Google account identifier so we can recognize you on return visits.
• Receipt and split data you create: receipt images you upload, items and prices you enter, participant names, tip and tax amounts, and the resulting splits.
• Optional payment handles you choose to share: Venmo username, Cash App handle, PayPal email, UPI ID, PIX key, Revolut tag, and similar identifiers. These are stored only so they can be inserted into the share messages you send to friends. We never see, hold, or process money — we just paste your handle into a link.
• Usage telemetry: anonymous event records (e.g. "demo session created", "share button clicked") with timestamps, used to understand which features people find useful. No personal content is included in these events.
• A single session cookie: set when you sign in, used only to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising, retargeting, or analytics cookies.

How we use your data

• To run the bill-splitting features you actively use.
• To save your splits to your account history so you can reopen them later.
• To populate your share messages with the payment handles you've configured.
• To improve the product based on aggregated usage patterns.

We do not sell your data, rent it, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles about you across the web.

Receipt images

Images you upload are processed to extract item names and prices. The processed text is saved with your session so you can edit it. Original image files are kept only as long as needed to display the receipt within your session and are not used for training any third-party model.

Sharing with third parties

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate the service:

• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, in which case Google sees the sign-in event under their own privacy policy.
• Replit — our hosting and database provider; data is stored in their managed infrastructure.

We do not share your information with any other third parties unless required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users.

Your choices

• You can use most of Split Receipt without signing in at all.
• You can delete any saved split from your history at any time inside the app.
• You can request deletion of your entire account and all associated data through the contact form on our home page. We'll process the request within 30 days.
• You can revoke Google's permission to share your account info with us at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Children

Split Receipt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email if you've signed in.
